Glad to hear. I hope you videotape the hunt again and post another awesome write-up. Your self-filmed and edited hunt video from KNS was IMO better than 80% of the videos I’ve seen made by a contracted or paid videographer. If you didn’t already have a successful career, I’d suggest you get into...
Im very aware of what it costs to hunt Tanzania as well as the other countries on a full bag. The full bag comment was just for the premium license which is required to hunt a lesser kudu. My focus for Tanzania would be their Massai plains game species (with lesser kudu as the focus), leopard...
Hahaha, glad I enabled someone.
I know there are a few others on here who were also surprised by the feeling of the hide. I've talked about it with more than one person and I think we were all thinking something more along the lines of what an elephant or hippo's hide felt like.
Cam,
Did you book yet? I was just contacted about a Botswana and Namibia cancellation this year that might be right up your alley. If you can flex to 2025. I personally lean towards the Zim recommendation. There are some great areas and PH’s, and think the cost/price structure is a little bit...

Other options would be putting it towards part of a leopard hunt in Zim or a Mtn Nyala/Lesser Kudu in Ethiopia.
Definitely video it if you can. It’s a very unique experience and showing other hunters and non hunters the veterinary side of it can really open the door and conversation regarding the African conservation model and intertwining of Hunting/Conservation.
A Rhino’s hide has to be one of the...
I might know of a Krighoff in 500 that’s coming to market. Another AH member is currently talking to them about the rifle. If you send me a PH I can put you in contact with the owner should that member pass.
I’ve personally held the gun, and seen the animals he’s shot with it over the years.
@LimbNoMo didn’t you have to cancel your first trip? This might be a great opportunity to jump in with a very experienced group. Just the stories from Scott would be worth it
I haven’t hunted with D&Y, and haven’t hunted the Omay BUT I have talked a good bit with them, and unsuccessfully hunted Leopard elsewhere. My PH for part of my hunt apprenticed together with York at HHK and works D&Y them on occasion when they need another PH. He spoke very highly of York and...
