$25,000 in Africa excluding, flights, tips, and trophy shipment what would you do?

Probably an attorney to defend me in court after my wife found out about all the money you bastards cost me…I mean US…I love you baby…

I’d use it as a down payment on a full bag in Tanzania, with a portion of the hunt in Massailand for those unique species.

Other options would be putting it towards part of a leopard hunt in Zim or a Mtn Nyala/Lesser Kudu in Ethiopia.

I think I’d hunt buffalo in Zambezi valley in Zimbabwe along with a few PG and some tiger fishing. Thankfully there are a lot of good options inside that budget.

This would be the way I would go as well. I had fun in RSA but I think Zim for a true wild-chase buffalo would be hard to beat. Along with the tiger fishing, as well.

10 days trophy elephant with Tokoloshe or Nyamazana and you might have some money for something else that comes along

Still another $100,000 to 150,000 for a full bag in Tanzania.

Even in Zimbabwe or Mozambique you would be scratching $100,000 pretty hard.

reminds me I never looked to see if I won.

Im very aware of what it costs to hunt Tanzania as well as the other countries on a full bag. The full bag comment was just for the premium license which is required to hunt a lesser kudu. My focus for Tanzania would be their Massai plains game species (with lesser kudu as the focus), leopard and buffalo. I’d love to hunt a Lion or an Elephant there but that’s where the prices really start to climb.

Ethiopia for Mtn Nyala got thrown in the mix for the Lesser as well, and I know the $25k is just a percentage of the overall hunt cost.

If someone’s giving me $25k, I’m using it as a 15-25% down payment on something absolutely epic a few years out and working my ass off to make it happen.

Two buffalo in Moz or 1 leopard in Namibia

I would do the most "classic" style safari I could and in the most remote territory possible (after crying with joy for the sudden windfall of money). Of course, it would be a mixed bag dangerous and plains game with Buff at the top and a croc thrown it (I want the skull!).

I would ask if I can use the amount for two hunts, one safari this year, the others the following year.

So I could go on a buffalo hunt twice. I'm not interested in any other game.

For me, without a doubt, it would be elephant in Zim, either tuskless and some plains game or exportable bull and try and find the best bull I can.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
