@ Krish thank you. I much prefer the oil finsh to gloss they normally come with. Also Rigby kindly made me me a new slimmer magazine follower and magazine spring so that I can load 4 rounds in 450 the Rigby.

Geoff, you know me too well. The 450 rigby is indeed my favorite . I have your norma 550gr solids and softs with me in TZ along with some hotter handloads of 500gr Barnes.

I'm wondering why you might feel it's custom barrel work? The easiest route would be to take a RSM in 458Lott have it re-chambered to 450 Dakota/Rigby. Have an Rsm 416 rigby mag follower and Extracor fitted, also the bolt face might need some work. I'm sure a good gunsmith can get this done for...

I have switched from using 4350 in the 450 rigby to 4895 powder. I can use a smaller charge for the same velocity, that also translates to lower recoil. If you PM me I can send you some loads I have used running over 2350fps with varios 500 gr bullets. Best of luck.
