I have a Tanaka for about 16 years and that saw is a beast and never fails me. Good cutting chain makes a good saw. Cutting wood can be therapeutic at times.
I like the Nosler Accubond 210 in a 300 mag load. My setup just seems a little more consistent with that combination. I like a little more weight for African game. Not a big difference under 300 yards. Most my African shots 75-200 yards.

My old 270 tang safety model, early 70s, is very picky on ammo type and if shot more than a handful of times without a total cooldown starts to wander quite a bit. If I had to build one up my personal choice is a Remington 700 donor action vs a Ruger to start.
