I've stayed at Africa Sky 3 different times and have no qualms recommending it, only the caveat that 2019 was the last time. Gilbert never fails to pick you up or get you back to the airport on time.
But I would not was to use it as a destination. 24 hours is enough.
I think that you have difficulty imagining a world other than the one *you* live in.
It really frustrates me to see people who weren't there, assume they know more about a situation.
The only error I could possibly have made was to use Infinto Safaris right before my trip out of JoBerg, but...
As already mentioned, both were simply shakedown attempts. I was appalled at how many times I was told "for $10 I don't have to open your gun case"
If I was going to sell my integrity, it would be for more than ten bucks.
But, if I had no integrity, I guess $10 is a windfall.
Finally...someone answered his question.
I have spoken with Turnbull before about a similar project. They did not seem enthusiastic and I'm not going to force my money on them. They underestimate sentimental value, based on past customers having sticker shock.
I used a camp rifle (Parker Hale) in .30-'06 in Namibia in 2012 on Kudu, gemsbok and zebra. Remington Core-Lokt 180 gr.
One shot kills on all. Shoulder shots.
A .30-'06 with the right bullets will kill anything on the planet.
I get it.
You're upset that he shot your giraffe. It's perfectly understandable to be upset.
THIS was your opportunity to tell him so.
He even asked you, and you denied.
Now that you have had time to sort through your feelings, you want to blame someone for your missed opportunity.
Move on...
I had one and generally liked it. Recoil was not bad.
But...mine had a single trigger and the Recoil off of bags was sometimes enough to make it double. If my rifle had been a double trigger I would still have it. I never had an issue with it off-hand.
