That is a good idea. I’ve got a simple jig to file the "v" notch, (so simple it looks like a piece of wood with some aluminium stewed to it :A Whistle: )but if you take too much off you are stuffed, a plastic sacrificial piece is a much better option Gumpy

I think some bolt checkering is just for show, but mostly it’s to provide better grip when cycling the bolt, wet, slippery hands can grip the bolt knob better than a smooth one Gumpy

There was a trend for a while to put a crossbolt through the wrist just behind the trigger in the spot where it starts to thin down. And that fractured stock, I would like to see the other side as to me it looks like a bend fracture, ie; someone fell on it Gumpy
