I have stumbled onto this rifle for a bargain/steal it was a custom built for someone with very long arms so stock at least 1-2" too long for me. Will get that sorted but for now have to force may face forward to see through the scope clearly.
But otherwise the rifle looks like it has not seen much work I have a gap between my 7x57 and 375 H&H so I think this is just perfect. Package came with 80 cases 20 fired 60 new RWS and Reloading DIES and a bunch of bullets all of which I doubt I will be using thinking of doing 190/200Gr SBC

Wil probarly change the scope thinking I should get some European glass on it one day to finish the look.

Rifle will end up as my large animal 200 meter plus rifle out to 350 meters.
Gemsbuck, eland, wildebeest and zebra.

Nice find. My 8x68s was a Blaser R8 in 8x57. It is still at the proof house in Ferlach waiting to get tested. Very excited to use it here in Europe this fall and hopefully in 2026 in Africa.

There are currently a ton of factory ammo choices for the 8x658s in Germany. Norma, RWS, Brenneke, Blaser and SAX. I think there might be a couple more. At least 12different loads.

Beautiful rifle! It will be perfect for your intended use for large antelope at 200-350m distances. I've got a Krico in 8x68S and load it with 200 gr RWS Evolution bonded bullets and have never had to shoot an animal twice. I have successfully taken eland, gemsbok, kudu and wildebeest with it. Have about 300 of those RWS bullets left over for reloading and won't be changing things up before they are done because they work great, but after that I will also be looking at SA bullets such as Kriek, SBC, Rhino or Peregrine.

Nice rifle in a beautiful caliber!
As suggested by Namibia Hunter, try the RWS Evo 200, that works great in my Sauer, too.

Several 220 8mm out there also , and Woodleigh make a 250 grain too

Beautiful rifle. Nice find. Is it the standard 1-280mm twist?

Next time I visit the rifle at the shop I will measure it also wnat to know?

Nice rifle and a good find. Look forward to seeing how it shoots and your first hunt report with it.

However since the stock is to long I suggest you send it to me so that you don't have to cut the stock:A Bulb:

How about you come over and we have a short hunt with it before I shorten the stock???

Short hunt. Want to come along?

Nothing planned so far in October for myself except BASA shoot date not finalized yet.
Should have the license for the 8x68 in hand as well by then.
