Beautiful chocolate Bushbuck ram. This ram had massive bases, with a simply magnificent coat to go with it. These are the heartbeat of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa.
Its excellent! Very similar to beef, but with a 2/10 fishy taste on every third chew. Someone mentioned that they would try making crackling with it. That would be interesting.
If you are willing to travel to the Eastern Cape, we can assist. Cape Grysbuck is a nocturnal hunt, so it won't be as simple for just a day hunt. You will need a few nights to hunt one. Blue Duiker can be 1-2 days from a blind or over hounds.
Please let me know if we can assist in any way...
Blast from the past. This ram's color is more accustomed to further Northern parts of the country, with our Cape Bushbuck generally being more dark. The old folk tells the stories that its from eating on the Wild Olive trees that turn our Bushbuck rams so dark. This, they say, also applies to...
Spotted Hyena can often split opinions among hunters, as I've seen over the years through comments. Here is an ancient Hyena hunted with us, with almost no hair left. What are your thoughts? Given the opportunity, would you hunt one?
Recently I saw a post from one of the celebrity hunters showing his successful Elephant hunt. I was amazed by some of the ignorant comments such as, " I am a hunter, but I would never hunt an Elephant. There is no need for that."
This is the result of a successful Elephant hunt. One simply have...
You can purchase Black Powder in South Africa. Easiest would be for the Outfitter to do it on your behalf, and he will need to be in possession of a Black powder permit for storage.
Then you will need to redevelop your load since the powder here is of a lesser quality than you would be used to...
Beautiful Kudu bull taken by one of our hunters. We've had some good rains in the area recently. Animals are going to be in excellent condition for the coming season.
This is why we believe in predator control. This was from a Caracal kill, and happy to report that with the help of the hounds, managed to eliminate the perpetrator. Any guesses to what this belongs to?

And neither am I saying that they are the same experience, but there is simply no way that they can be of the same value.
We get a lot less permits for Kudu in our open areas(Only one or two bulls per 2200 acres) as compared to a managed area where the owners basically decide the offtake for...
My statement wasn't only on Lions. I was referring to hunting in general. The reality is that there are people that will happily pay $4000 for an Elk in a 800 acre area, hunt with a guide that has been around for 1 year and be happy that he shot a big bull, when there are $13,000 hunts in big...
I have found it almost impossible to obtain the rubber ring on the eye piece for my Leica APO Televid 65 Spotting Scope. I am now at a year trying to find this part. My Spotting Scope is Leica, I have two sets of Leica Geovids, which one of them is the latest 10x30's.
I am now at a stage of...
The hounds did well here in bumping this nice Caracal. This hunt was late in the season where conditions already started to dry up which makes it really tough for the hounds. You just need the conditions overnight for one day to create some moisture and you will be off to the races. (Excuse the...
