KMG Hunting Safaris 2024 Season Photos

Back out and hopefully work around to a better angle for a shot. If you’re close that is
Fair comment, but generally a yard either way puts them into the thick stuff.

I’d default to the PH, but with a 300 win and right bullets I’d be confident in that shot on a bushbuck. Might not be any other opportunity.
300Win should wreck him. Somehow I feel I should have added "crying myself to sleep" as an option to the question.

Something special brewing in this photo. Any guesses?

Horns look crooked like my shooting. Need him on my wall!
Look at the bull on the far right. Look how deep. Going to be a monster. Excellent genes.

Beautiful Kudu bull taken by one of our hunters. We've had some good rains in the area recently. Animals are going to be in excellent condition for the coming season.

Recently I saw a post from one of the celebrity hunters showing his successful Elephant hunt. I was amazed by some of the ignorant comments such as, " I am a hunter, but I would never hunt an Elephant. There is no need for that."
This is the result of a successful Elephant hunt. One simply have to listen to the joy the community's voices and what it means to them. This animal will supply them with weeks of protein. Without hunters, there is no conservation.

Spotted Hyena can often split opinions among hunters, as I've seen over the years through comments. Here is an ancient Hyena hunted with us, with almost no hair left. What are your thoughts? Given the opportunity, would you hunt one?

I tried to get a hyena in Zim last year and wasn’t able to connect. Had a great hunt though. Hyenas are high on my list of animals I’d like to get a crack at. Very cool animal for sure.

Oh yea! Would love to hunt one, very cool animal.
Indeed. Personally, I love hunting them. (When preparation is correct, otherwise nights can get long.)

They are very intriguing. I guess it depends on the area, but Zim has loads of them. Surprised you couldn't get one there.

We were in an area where we couldn’t hunt them at night, which makes it more difficult. We heard them at the bait before it got light enough to shoot. A couple of times just need a few more minutes and we’d have been in business. The next time I try for one will be in an area where we can hunt them at night.

Makes sense. When they are active around the bait like that, it makes for an exciting hunt.

Blast from the past. This ram's color is more accustomed to further Northern parts of the country, with our Cape Bushbuck generally being more dark. The old folk tells the stories that its from eating on the Wild Olive trees that turn our Bushbuck rams so dark. This, they say, also applies to our Kudu. Notice the difference between the two rams. They were hunted less than a half a mile apart.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
