Hello, All,
a couple of years ago I was fortunate enough to add a wonderful John Rigby to my collection. This is a special gun to me as it has some unique features. As most of you know, a takedown version isn't easy to come by, much less an intermediate single square bridge version. the SN is 5217 (ca. 1924). Thought you might like to see it.

I did not know that was a thing. I don't think I have ever seen a British rifle like that. Here in Germany it is fairly common.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing

Beautiful rifle, and one most of us dream of owning one day

Wow @PaulB that is special. Thanks for the photos.

And why not a Westley Richards as well. This one was built in June of 1913. It is a .318 Accelerated Express and is also an interrupted screw takedown design.

According to Griffin & Howe this side mount model, which originally had 7/8" rings and a Lyman Alaskan, was produced in the fifties. It was likely added when the rifle was acquired by an American.

Nice takedown. Mine is from 1903 and other than the scope bases is all original (275). Finding a case is harder than finding the takedown rifles.

I have two correct cases for your takedown made in England by Brady. They are incorrectly partitioned for your purposes internally, they are presently partitioned for a 28 bore or 410, but they are exactly correct take-down cases. I had a Westley 318 take down previously in the identical case type.

Nice rifles all,…exquisite tastes on this site for sure.

Someone i know had Paul build him one ..think in 1999..as he used it on a hunt in zim in Easter 2000 I booked for him ..my brother and 2 others....he used to have things built then seemed to lose interest in them...sold it...would probably have tried to buy it back then if I had known in time...
