I have a 416 Alaskan that I’ve had for a few years that I’d like to put up for sale.

I got this gun from Toby458 some years back and have taken it to Africa once. I replaced it this past year with a Winchester 416 REM and a 375H&H.

The gun has a light colored Hogue stock that I put on it last year. I gave the original to my African PH friend who had broken his guide gun laminate stock.

Looking for $1100 for the bare gun shipped in a small plastic cabelas rifle case.

I also have some rings and a Weaver 1x3-20,
~46 Hornady DGS bullets
~30 Hornady once fired brass
~1 box of hornady DGX 400 grain bullets (not sure if they are bonded or the old ones)
~A leather cartridge belt holder for 8 rounds made for the Ruger 416

If you want it all, it’s $1600 obro

Gun is located in SC

I have the same rifle, you have yours priced fairly. Some one will get a nice handy big bore.

I would be interested in the Leather cartridge belt holder if you are willing to separate it from the rest f the items offered.

I also have the same rifle. Good gun and this is a good value. The 416 Ruger should get more press as it's an excellent cartridge.

Same here. I have the same caliber and rifle with the same Hogue stock on my Alaskan. Also have a African with a Bell & Carlson . Great shooting rifles. Definitely should have more interest than they do. GLWS. DJ

Bump her up ttt. Makes for a great bear gun as well.

Bump it up. Also would consider trade for higher end hunting optics. Zeiss, Swarovski, leupold, night force, etc

I'm surprised it's still available. It's a great deal on a good, proven rifle. I've always like the barrel profile on these guns and it's stainless with upgrades. I don't think you can find a better 416 for the $. Bear, moose, any African DG, water buffalo...this one covers it well.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
