Ontario Hunter
AH legend
Any chance someone could post a photo of the book?
Thanks. So it's soft cover or is that dust jacket? Great artwork!
Printed hardcover, no dust jacket.Thanks. So it's soft cover or is that dust jacket? Great artwork!
With all due respect, I disagree. There aren't a lot of people still around who can say that they (legally) hunted in India before it was banned in 1972, and there are only a handful of those people who have a presence online. People like you are a treasure-trove of knowledge, and it's extremely important that such knowledge is preserved.Thank you everybody for your kind appreciation. You are the perfect admirers of a most imperfect human being such as myself. I am genuinely touched by this heartfelt post.
I assure you all. I'm nothing special...
But @J.OgilvieWith all due respect, I disagree. The experience of people like you not only provides us with fascinating insight into what hunting was like in that part of the World, but it can also provide us with information that can be applied to some of the current challenges that we face (e.g. techniques used by animal liberationists to turn the public against hunting). Major Khan's old thread "How (I Personally Believe) The Future of Hunting Can Be Saved" is a great example of this.
Ah, my apologies. Still, your stories (particularly tiger hunts) are captivating. But @J.Ogilvie
I never hunted in India. Only Bangladesh & Pakistan (and both countries fortunately still permit legal hunting).
Has anyone received their copies of the book?
