OK I've found the "Iron Cactus" restaurant 4 short blocks from the convention center. Walk-able. Looks good, reviews are very good, all the dinners seem to be $12-$18/person. Tex/Mex food, full bar.
How does this set with anyone interested in getting together?
We probably need to get some kind of a head count for reservations on Saturday night.

AH Dinner at Dallas Safari Club Convention 2013

I've found the "Iron Cactus" restaurant just 4 short blocks from the convention center. Reviews are good, full bar, Tex/Mex style, dinner seems to be between $12 and $18/person
What do you all think? Probably need a head count for reservations that night

Oh now I see this after replying in your other thread. I've not been to the Iron Cactus but that's fine by me if everyone else is good with it. On the first page of this thread, I think my second post I suggested Uncle Julio's which I do know and is one of my favorites.

It was in post #6 on the first page that I put the link to Uncle Julio's. It's roughly the same price and is also Mexican food. It's not within walking distance of the convention center but the food is very good.

He and I need a head count on who wants to have dinner Saturday night and some indication if you'd prefer the close in restaurant the Iron Cactus or the other place little further away from the convention center

I will be car-less (foot power only) in Dallas this time and will need to leave early on Sunday but I (we, my wife Carol and me) would really like to meet up with any of the AH crowd who wants to meet for dinner. The Iron Cactus is only 4 short blocks from the convention center so my proposal is to meet at say 18:30 hrs (6:30 PM) for those not on military time at the Iron Cactus. The first round of drinks will be on me- so be on time 1520 Main Street Like I said, 4 short blocks north of the convention center.

:bangheadamn it!!! I want to go too, but I have to work. I don't know any of you but would liked to have met some you at the show. You all seem like a great group of guys.
