AH Group Hunt offer in the Limpopo Valley, your thoughts?

I have wanted to do one of the AH group hunts for a long time. However the timing doesn't work out for me. So I look forward to reading about how this trip comes together and read the trip reports.

I did one a couple years ago, it was a ton of fun.

One aspect of this offer to consider is the option of hunting at night. There are a wide variety of animals that can be baited, called, etc. You could get a hyena permit (spotted or brown but brown cannot be exported)...get a genet, civet, bush pig, etc...maybe one of the elusive mongooses...or it's a fantastic place to get your honey badger! They only get a few permits on some of these CITES animals as you know. Any client on this group hunt can make arrangements for night hunting and the rest of us will sit around the fire pit cheering you on and waiting to see what comes back to camp with you!

Here are some of what we have taken together in the last 2 years...

I would certainly be interested depending on the details and timing. Buffalo is my hunting goal for 2026. Thanks for working to create this!

I would absolutely love to do this. As a Retired Army guy I’m not as “well healed” as most of you and would need to see the cost.
Being retired army as well, I can tell you their pricing is very comparable to other outfitters. If Dieter is working up some special pricing for this, then even better.

The lodge is first class, very neat and tidy. All of the staff are amazing and you’ll be very impressed. We hadn’t even finished Day 1 of the Hunt and my girlfriend was already scheming of how/when we were going back. I also took my parents on this past trip. My dad been on 1 previous trip to Africa with me and joined me with 2 other outfitters camps. I can say without a doubt he felt this one was the best (he loved both the others) but this one was the best. Dieter can also arrange for excisions as well. He arranged for our party of 4 to spend a few days in the Kruger which was great for my mom and girlfriend who are both non hunters.

Wish I could make 2026 work to join y’all, but I have plans to chase the last 2 of my Tiny 10 in Mozambique for my international trip of the year. Depending on dates/timing if it works out, I’d definitely be open to trying to meet-up with people before or after at JNB or one of the guest houses.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
