Several weeks ago, we conducted our annual aerial surveys and it confirmed we have lots of buffalo. So, with our international hunts coming to an end for the season, we took the opportunity to meat hunt five cow buffalo with local hunters this past week. For those of you who want the thrill of buffalo hunting but don't want the cost that comes with a bull, don't discount a cow hunt as they are every bit as exciting. We get just as close as we do to bulls and the cows are often in larger groups making the stalk more difficult.

While hunting cows, I was able to photograph this old bull. He isn't as wide as some, but has a good drop, great bosses, and very worn tips. It is an excellent example of the mature bulls we target on our hunts and a trophy anyone should be excited about.

I was fortunate enough to be a PH on 31 buffalo hunts in 2024 which I summarize in the short video link below. Please note, I am only reporting the statistics from our hunts and certainly not advocating for any specific caliber (I know how gun talk can be a lot like politics, religion, etc. ). We have booked our intended number of hunts for this special but we still have a few remaining dates available in 2025 that we would like to fill. This package includes 7 nights at our lodge in KwaZulu-Natal hunting 1x1 for these trophies. Pick up will be from the Johannesburg or Durban airport. The price for this package is $10,900 and is good for the remainder of 2024 and 2025. A limited number of these packages are available.

This package includes:
- 1 Cape Buffalo Bull (no size limit)
- 1 Warthog
- 1 Nyala
- Free Observer
- Daily rate for 1 hunter and one observer for 7 nights
- Half day tiger fishing on Jozini Dam for both the hunter and observer
- Road transportation, meals, accommodation, full catering, alcohol in moderation, and laundry services
- Services of a professional hunter, trackers and skinners, and the use of the hunting vehicle
- Field preparation and delivery of trophies to the designated shipping agent or local taxidermist
-15 % Government Tax (Value Added Tax)

The following items are excluded:
- Any animal species not specified above
- All air transport
- Air freight, packing, dipping, documentation and shipping fees for trophies
- Gratuities, personal expenses, and phone calls
- Additional day trips or excursions
