I let the weather and my mode set the alcohol.

Fall and winter, basically the cool/cold temps require a strong beverage to fend of the chills and viruses. A good whiskey; straight bourbon or single 12-18 year old single malt scotch works well. Especially a scotch after a successful or good hunt.

An ice cold beer on those hot summer days/nights works immensely well to unwind and relax after a busy day.

I'm not much on wine, but with a really good meal, a good wine with a meal helps the digestive system.

It all boils down to personal preference.

And regardless of our choice(s) of alcoholic beverage(s) we should all drink responsibly. And not to the point of being an obnoxious idiot/total ass.
@Ridge Runner - great post —-UNTIL your last sentence….”responsibly” mean Picking-Up-the-CHECK !!

:ROFLMAO:......I don't know if my annual retirement checks would be enough to cover "Picking- Up- the- Check!!" for a night out with a few of the forum members.

One or two drinks would first turn into a taste testing contest, shortly followed by a drinking contest, followed by money for damages and bail after the dancing contest.

My morning after questions:
What strippers?
What tattoo?
When did the strippers arrive?
Whose phone numbers are these on my arm?

:A Stars::E Confused:o_O:oops::cool:

Party tonight? Where? Sure, count me in.

I'm older than dirt, yet younger than some rocky mountains. I was reflecting more about my younger days and what could be expected from some of these younger whipper snappers; you know those still in their 40s and 50s, figuring by the time most "babes in the woods" 30 year olds, have reached some sense of maturity. Whereas those entering the 40 to 60 year old bracket seem to retrograde thinking they are once again in their teens to college years bracket; "Partying like it was 1999" (again).:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

BTW those two numbers on my arm:

1. The taxi driver that delivered me home.....I owe(d) him $20.00.

2. Number to the bar where my car is (was)) parked.

The tattoo: was colored felt tip markers. It took 3 weeks and a lot of harsh scrubbing before the tattoo washed off.

Still don't know about the strippers. No one owned up to ordering such entertainment. Just that I was constantly giving all the waitresses at the local "greasy spoon" a dollar tip in their apron strings everytime they passed by our table.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
