Argentina Exporter Raided Trophies Seized

Jaguars illegal enough for you? Why he's in jail. Why do you spout off with no info? I'm sure you have a great voice, to yourself. I have $20k in trophies in this sleazeballs warehouse, so its real to me. Pontificators please stop, you're not smart or helping.
I didn’t see anything wrong with the post. Maybe you are placing frustration in the wrong place .

Hello everyone.
No problem, @Lefty Outdoor on your comments. I understand your frustration and I´m sorry if my message caused any miss understanding on any way. We are of course against any type of illegal hunt and if he is prove to break the law he should face whatever consequence a judge decide.
As there is a lot of miss information around this case we feel that we have ( as we are outfitters from Argentina ) to be very careful with what we said as we want only to inform things that we can prove or that are facts instead of opinions or things we heard but might or not be truth.
Right now we have to wait until mid of next week when we should have news on the case and we would have a cleaner scenario on how things will continue.
To all the hunters that hunted with us and have trophies compromised on this situation we want to communicate that we are as we already mention doing everything we can to have the trophies clear as soon as possible so you can expect the exportations to be done on regular times.
Either way of course that if anyone have any specific doubt or anything you can write as at any time.

Well stated sir.

I am supposed to hunt Argentina next March and am concerned as to if I am wasting my money if I won’t get my trophies

So even though my anxiety is not as high as people currently in limbo, I am following these events very closely to decide if I need to pull the plug on my impending hunt

Thank you for the update Manuel

I heard from @ROCKET today that my trophies are safe and sound with MG. They are doing everything they can to make sure everyone gets their trophies.

Hi MG,

I am not involved in this in any way, just reading out of interest. I am wondering if the USF&W will get involved using the very nasty lacy act.

I always wanted to visit Argentina for dove hunting & your very fine beef.

I hope this works out for the good people in your industry. Bring home trophies are less and less attractive.

Maybe? I don't know, I could see it.

Interesting reads below I was forwarded from another individual (used google translate).

I would hope that this does not tarnish the other individuals who run operations professionally in Argentina.

The individual trophy photos are pretty damning assuming they were taken in Argentina. However, the visible seized trophies all look to be legitimately huntable stag, black buck, sheep, a few brocket deer (native) and water buffalo. Looks like the lodge may have had a sable and other shoulder mounts as well as client trophies. :E Shrug:

I was going to say the same thing some of the packaged game photos look like standard plains game action - you are accurate the individual trophy photos look bad.

Indeed, they look bad. But most of the photos also look old it seems. I do not know when it was still legal in some countries but most do not seem recently taken.

Dear Lon,

Hope this message finds you well.
I think it´s hard to tell what will happened after this as we dont know how this will end.
I believe that everything will be back to normal after this for all the companies that do things the right way but once again it´s talking upon supposes as we would have to wait until this thing ends.

Hope to have you here hunting doves!

Best Regards,

Manuel Gil.

Please have in mind that most of the things that you will find on internet are not accurate as for example they said that they found illegal red stags when it´s clearly legal to hunt them and they seem to have the tags on the skulls.

Agree, I didn't' understand that piece, and again, from some of the pictures as someone else noted most of that was standard plains game that looked perfectly legal. Definitely taking with a grain of salt.

I am not sure what the intent of your response to MG Hunting was. "Spout off with no info?" What was that supposed to mean? MG Hunting is one of the most respected outfitters in Argentina. I have hunted with them for two decades and they have been sponsors here for years. I trust any information they are able to pass along on the subject. You, on the other hand, join today and decide to be a jerk. Whether they are smarter than you I have no idea, but they are infinitely more informed. Just saying.
Yes I've been reading this site for a several years and felt no need to comment on anything, it's usually a great resource. As you can guess after just learning my trophies are probably going to rot in a government warehouse, I was pretty bent out of shape. I thought MG's comments were not knowledge based Ii.e. pontificating). Hence my need to comment, sorry if I hurt anyones feelings.

I doubt you hurt anyone’s feelings, but you sure misunderstood MG’s comments. They were simply providing on the ground intel in an attempt to help you and others caught in this situation. You reciprocated with an insult.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
