Looks like he's been through a fence Ben ?

I have seen scars like that on old unmarked bulls from a station in the territory that is only 2 paddocks.
trying to drive these cattle on horseback proved futile as they would just stand and shake, then charge you.
and they had horns.
we ended up sending the dogs around the other side of them, and they chased the dogs up into the yards at the now defunct Adelaide abattoirs.
the point is bovines do not cut or scar easily, and must sustain something pretty serious to cause this.
yet again you share an interesting observance ben.
bruce.

Cheers! My guess is he lost his footing in a fight and got caned. I’ve seen a lot of barbed wire scratches on buffalo and they’re similar to how our legs get scratched by the grass.

Yikes!

when you think about it, his last few days were not an all out success.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
