BELARUS: Word Of Warning Hunting.by In Belarus

Hello everyone.
My name is Aleks and I'm from that company Kristoffer was hunting with for a moose.
I am so sorry for so long proces of a taxidermist and our government bureaucracy. I bring my sincere apologies. The trophy is done as I wrote to Kristoffer about 2 month ago and all documents are also done. We have contacted all the time we the hunter and we can provide all the messages we have. But there is a problem with payment for taxidermist services, we can't send the trophy untill it will be paid in full by the hunter. So we are waiting untill the UK bank mangers can make an internationl transfer for money Kristoffer should pay. I know that there is a problem but i dont know how to solve it.
Will be glad to answer all the qustions you have with no misinformation.
And dear hunters, dont miss the opportunity to visit or hunt in Belarus - this is a very beautiful country with kind people and realy good services. This situation can not be a mirror of the country.
With best wishes, Aleks

Welcome to the forum

Here are the screenshots. I can only say not to panic, the trophy will be send to Kristoffer and nobody is goin to take it, it is his property.
Here are some links to prove the communication It started from january 2019.
And again I give to Kristoffer my sincere apologies for so long process with appendix 5 (it was sent only in this month) to the contract but i wrote about the payment in march and the hunter knew about it. Hope everthing will be finished soon in gentlemanly and transparent way. Due to Belarussian law our company cant take money from pay pal account how the hunter can pay, it is illegal, so only international bank transfer to the account of the company. There were no problems with hunters from different countries (USA, Spain, Norway, Austria etc..) but there is a problem with UK. I dont know may be because of political sanctions or anything else. Bank managers dont understand how to make it, we sent the instructions before the hunt.
With best wishes, Aleks.

Now we get a better picture of both sides of the issue. It sounds like the bank not knowing how to make an international transfer. If Aleksi sent wiring instructions and a bank employee can read, there should be no questions. Pretty standard procedure. Only two steps: Bank sends money, Aleksi sends trophy.

I’ve been trying to get in touch for weeks but you still ignore my emails and WhatsApp messages. I can also see you have opened and read them. You can’t use “I’ve been hunting” as an excuse you can’t just ignore previous clients once they have hunted with you. I also have hunting clients and go out my way to answer any questions or deal with them promptly. I get countries have policy and there is an element of waiting for export documentation It’s the nature of the business but simple correspondence and updates go a long way. You ignored me for months which is unacceptable for an outfitter.

What exactly is the problem sending money to Belarus or recieving it from the UK?
I don't believe there is any issues from the UK side of things, certainly the gov.uk website doesn't flag up any issues outside of the usual things to expect.

I ran into this situation on a hunt in New Zealand. One would think that a transfer between the US and New Zealand would be straight forward since the outfitter provided all the wiring information. But, the bank could not figure out how to get it to the outfitter's account. The outfitter's account was in USD and my account in the US was in USD and yet it got converted from USD to NZD to USD along with fees each time. What a mess and never got to the outfitter. The bank ended up withdrawing the transfer along with USD to NZD to USD along with fees the second time. Very expensive exercise in futility. The outfitter ended up agreeing to a different method of sending money other than a bank transfer. It took several months to get this cleared up.

For a five year period I wired money from my Bank of America account to my Raiffeisen Bank account (an Austrian bank) with branches in Kosovo, usually, but not always once a month. The money arrived to Kosovo in Euros and I had to change it there into dollars. Kosovo required this so they could make money off of the exchange rate. I did not request this and BA did not require this. This forced me to keep a Euro account and dollar account at Raiffeisen Bank.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
