Bench Rest Question

I had my first catch in the live trap - big ol' racoon.

My grandpa and I managed several raccoons in live traps those first few years.

I can't imagine how touched in the head a coyote would have to be to go into one.

Well, if one ever does go in I'll be sure and take pictures; although it sounds like I'd have more success if I shot it first and then drug it into the trap.
In the meantime, I got my Duke traps today; I'll try setting them when it quits raining.

Bizarre indeed. I usually have several feet of snow shoveled up on both sides of the driveway this time of year. A few inches is all today and all hard as a rock. The ski resorts haven't opened yet. We've had weather below -20 C almost continually since I arrived back home on 14 December But almost no snow. Last week 50+ mph wind and -21. I'm guessing windchill was -50. We commonly do get -20 to -40 temps but never with that kind of wind and clear skies. Very weird.
similar here-just traces of snow (but I'm glad the vortex from hell wasn't accompanied by too much snow-just a few inches and it blew out to the mid-atlantic ridge last week.) 'took a pic of clouds at sunset moving across the FOV of the cam in seconds...Here's to hoping Spring begins in Feb!!! It's cold enough so they are making snow at all the local mtns but it's >0F out in the dead of night. I'd say 10 avg. ea day but those WINDS! I don't recall anything like it for many decades...

Any advice/suggestions on a good quality portable bench rest? We've got pigs and coyotes coming into our new pond and I am taking measures to eliminate them. I've ordered a steel trap, and purchased a Danial Defense DD5V4 AR and a Hill Country Rifles Pathfinder Predator bolt action, and outfitted both with Pulsar Thermion scopes.
There are several locations which afford unobstructed views of the entire pond ranging from 100 to 150 yds. My barn is a bit over 300 yds and has limited views. Game cameras monitor the entire area. I'm thinking a small tent with a bench rest would good place to start.

Thanks
@Franco
Came across this one mate. You got me thinking about one for my self and thought this one looks good.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John buzzardhilllabs@hotmail.com

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
