They might do them all the time but the materials they use are different than what we have in the states and in most cases sub standard. If I’m spending the equivalent cost of a new vehicle on a single animal or hunt, you better believe I’m having the best materials used on it.My suggestion is let the Africans do it. They do it all the time
There's a valuable lesson here for everyone. Find the best taxidermist you can. Cost becomes irrelevant. I well.mounted trophy is a source of pleasure and pride forever. Bad taxidermy is ugly and a source of embaresment until you get.rid of it or move it to.the attic. What do you want to look at?I have a leopard hunt planned for this July and looking for a taxidermist that goods really good leopard mounts. I would appreciate the help.
F$CK ya ! Congrats my man. Can’t wait to read about it.Well, I got my leopard in Zambia. I had an amazing trip and will be posting a report later this week. It’s now time to chose a taxidermist.
Have you gotten your finished cat back?Tried to get this image up last nite but it didn’t work out. So here is my Conroe Taxidermy leopard. Should be finished by now. Hutch

Brush county in Houston and Conroe taxidermy - Houston as well.I’m going to change the thread a little. Who does really good buffalo in the houston or dallas area?
Would you mind sharing some pictures of your buffalo mounts?Mike Baird at B&B has done 3 for me, super!
Looking back at this topic, now that I have booked another go for leopard, I have to say this is a pretty interesting pose and very well executed. I'm normally NOT a fan of open mouth/snarl but this one is well above average. I also like that it emphasizes the claws. As I'm partnering with dogs on the next hunt, this is a pretty accurate depiction of what we will get into.

Yes, I was commenting mostly on the workmanship and not the pose. The Schulte mount would be great if it were your 2nd or 3rd leopard mount. Very unique but wouldn't be my idea for my only leopard mount. It's very different though and well done.
