Where do you work? Are they hiring old guys?

My name is Pondoro and I am a sinner. I have started the process of rebuilding my ZKK 602 from .458Win. to .500 Jeffery..

The voices in my head says it is the ultimate for elephant hunting.. :W A Bullets:

the 500 Jeffery is a great cartridge!

Guess I belong in this support group.

At the moment I have a a-bolt in 375hb, not really a classic bigbore but accurate and dependble.
Had a 458Lott cz602 and a 416Rigby no1, Sold the Lott cause i had to switch to shooting from my left shoulder, the Rigby cause it wasn't really any fun..
Have just bought a lefhanded m70-action and a 404 barrel, very sure that will be great fun.

You are a masochist!:rolleyes::eek::D:D

welcome to the group @siutis ! its been a while since any one has posted here so im happy to see a new member.

ive personally fired an 8 pound 458 WM and it was awful, so props to you for enjoying it!

if you enjoy light weight guns that fire big cartridges then i recommend the Ruger #1 in 458 Lott. that single shot monster maybe weighs 7 pounds and the 458 lott cartridge generates about 30% more recoil then the 458 WM.

Well, it was time this thread got brought back up to the top.

I done gone and did it again...so I am here to confess.

I just bought 250 new cases for a caliber that I do not yet load for...and may never (the rifles so chambered are few and far between)!

But I would like to...and the price was such that I could not pass them up!

Drum roll................450 Dakota!

250 new cases for $275. Smoking deal. How could I say no?

I knew you all would understand.

:)

You wont find a much better time to buy guns then right now, its a buyers market.

I guess add me to the group. Last January I had 1 375HH. Now 13 months later
2- 375 HH, 416 Rem Mag, 458 Win Mag and just got Ruger 77 in 9.3.
I have only been to South Africa one time and trip 2 is this May. Already thinking about trip 3 for 2020.

You should have seen the look on her face when I said "You won't really divorce me after 38 years, just over a rifle"?

I noticed that you didn't say she said "no" to that question.

She kinda gave one of those nervous laughs....:eek:
Kathy actually sent me a WhatsApp message and said she was secretly hoping you will buy it! Don’t tell her I said anything though, it should be a surprise

I would guess she can think of other things to do with $10K!:D:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Hoping I will buy it so she can divorce me?

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!

Hello. If you haven't already sold this rifle then I will purchase. Please advise. Thank you.

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
