Blood Lions MSNBC

As with anything else the consumers will still impact the industry.

The conservation aspect is indirect:
Redirecting hunting demand from Wild Lions
Maintaining land in a wild state, not an overgrazed cattle operation supports a range of wildlife.

Brick,

Sorry, but I don't see the re-directing of demand or maintaining land in a wild state. Maybe where the lions are released, but not where they are commercially bred and raised. Again, I am totally fine with the hunting of the lions in this manner. I'm ok with people hunting white tails in bred areas. I've hunted released pheasant - things fly erratic just like the wild ones (yup, missed the first three before I got one).

Lastly, I hunted in Texas over corn. And, frankly, hunted in Illinois, Missouri and Wisconsin over cut corn fields. So, I don't have an issue using bait in the wild places. And, took my stag in the estate. Funny thing how it measured out within an inch of my maximum I had told the guide I wanted.

The stag was not conservation - it was a commercial operation. I believe the same with the lions in SA.

I was planning on watching last-night and then boom - no power...

Anyone know where I can download to watch?

The industry has major issues!
No doubt!
Does it need to be cleaned up?
No doubt!
Is what you saw the norm (in terms of breeding?)
I doubt it!

Are the magnificent 7 capitalizing on it, in terms of putting down outfitters that shoot lions in SA?
They are! No doubt!
Gary Kelly.
Paul Stones.
Stewart Dorington.
Graham Jones
Johan Oosthuisen
Mathew Greef
Mark Dewet.

They have even gone so far as to start their own association... SAMPEO...

I firmly believe as an outfitter that enjoys wilderness hunts, that there are issues, that needs to be adressed,urgently.......it simply cannot be shrugged of and be swept under the carpet any longer.....

This is not only true on the lions but the game breeding sest pool in its entirety.

My best always

That's a wrap, on our first hunt of this years season.

Hunting conditions are a bit tougher in South Africa during the month of February, but can be just as rewarding if done right.
