Im going to frontier safaris on a plains game hunt. I actually booked it through Worldwide Trophy Adventures they were running a discount on it at the time. It's a ten day 12 aninal package hunt. I found that hunt before I found this website.
Too bad. I know nothing about your outfitter or broker but I have to say, I've heard very little good spoken of hunt brokerage companies. With the internet and big shows, I'm surprised they can still stay in business. These days it's relatively easy for the hunter to do his own shopping for hunts and cut out the middleman. I'm sure you'll do alright. Ten days and a dozen animals sounds busy, but I shot four before noon of the first day of my first safari. Then two more the following morning. Only left the kudu to finish the package and I didn't get it till literally the last hour of daylight of last day hunting.

I thought so too sounded busy but it's a lot of and/or list. You can pick twelve out of like 20ish animals and I'm not picky. I booked my hunt last year through them it was awesome. To be honest it was better than my first hunt when I picked on my own.

I have 2 Stainless Stalkers. One in .280 Rem and the other in .25-06. I load my own ammo and use 160 Nosler Partitions in the .280 and 110 Accubonds in the .25-06. I’ve had each of the rifles for 8-10 years plus and I’m not sure Browning even chambers for those cartridges anymore. I have no plans to part with either of them.
25-06 great caliber... for me in western states has been extremely accurate. with patience i have been able to get many 1 shot kills on deer , antelope, hogs, and varmints

Yeah, I wouldn't want to deal with customs with a suppressor.

The reason I would go with a .30 caliber suppressor as opposed to a .338 is simply the versatility of the .30 caliber and using it on other rifles like something chambered in .300 Blackout, which is really quite.

My son puts one on a bolt action .300 blackout and the bullet striking a wooden target makes more noise that the gun's report.

Agreed. .25-06 was my first center fire cartridge and I’ve had a soft spot for it ever since. I don’t think it gets the attention it deserves.

i know this to be true statement...and accurate within 100 meters

agree 100%
i have shot and hunted with .257 Roberts. .270 Winchester. 270 Weatherby mag. 25-06 Remington. .243 Winchester. .223 Remington. 25-06 Remington was the most accurate out to 400 meters / little farther in yards. a tack driver since back in late 1980s. but requires shot placement like an arrow...like surgical strike from afar...

I highly recommend a Ruger Hawkeye Hunter chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum. It will be perfectly adequate for all of your plains game hunting purposes.

You will be fine with them. I have used them in Europe previously and will again next year in Croatia. They offer all sorts of African packages. The rack and stack, fill a trophy room hunt, is popular with a lot of Americans - particularly if they are imagining being one and done with Africa. If, on the other hand, Africa takes a bit of your soul, and you are likely going to return, consider what you really want to mount with full blown taxidermy. For instance, I have two sables on the wall neither of which is close to my third in size. I have photos of the latter - where do you put three sables?
