Cape Eland & Livingstone Eland Pictures

Maybe it's because I live in Alaska and am accustomed to shooting large animals like moose...but something intrigues me about Eland. I'm looking forward to hunting one this July when I head back to RSA. And those eland steaks on the brai are awesome! Anyone else planning on arrowing a big one this year?

To me Eland is the absolute best eating African animal!

My Cape Eland taken in April 2022. What a great adventure that was. Eland hunting feels similar to hunting elk in the foothills.

Gotta love hunting these huge animals. Very hard to hunt.
All Species of eland are Beautiful animals!.

Thought I posted this already. This bull was taken hunting with Mike Angelides in Lukwati North in early October, 2022. Used a 404 Jeffery with 400 gr. SAFs at estimated 200 yards.

may I suggest Intaba Safaris in the East Cape by Port Elizabeth, Eugene is a great guy, 2 of us will be there April 6th to April 14th. he does cull hunts(that's what I am doing) and if you go to his web site he is and offering daily fees of 200.00 and good cull prices. Thanks Jim
