That 670 is beautiful!Recently in the tread about discontinued products Wyatt smith , Bob Nelson , myself and a few other gentleman were discussing the merits of several brands of chainsaw including some of which that are no longer in production. I thought given that most of us on the forum likely use chainsaws at some point be it commercially as land owners or lease holders clearing shooting lanes and food plot areas ect. We should have a thread discussing them.
Myself I collect jonsereds specifically but not limited to the 600 series. View attachment 676091
Currently for jonsereds I have
625
630 (x2)
670
520sp
2055 (x2)
2038
Also have a few Husqvarna and stihls mostly because I don’t trust my employees not to ruin my jonsereds.
What about the rest you? Must be some others on here that appreciate vintage saws. Show us your collections.
Funny he stuck a stick through the cover of his brand new husky!I was surprised to see this come up!
This guy's work is incredible ..

My Dad absolutely destroyed my Jonsered, I was pissed.
However, I fought for this on Ebay. Large brand-new Distributer Jacket "For Sale"

without porting it, west coast saws makes aftermarket air filters (breathes better) and a "bark box" that is supposed to make 6-10% more power. it is also louder (i have both on the way).A good port job will really spark it up
I know a man who smashed and completely ruined a brand new husky 395 in the third tree. It fell wrong and he dropped it and got out of town. He said he’d make that deal again as he came out safe.
Well, the whole movie is available on YouTube .. Here it is. Hands down, my personal favorite. No I haven’t and that saying something, if I can source a copy I know what I’m doing the next steam in. Couldn’t watch movies on the last steam. Had a freighter in the area had to keep an eye onView attachment 676279
@Tubby’s Canteen - I’ve used Stihl for past 15 years, it’s what I started with after buying some land and I got their professional level 362 with 20” bar. Now, I’m NOT a Lumber Jack by any means and had to “learn” a lot. I got decent at felling trees but that was after getting many hung up in other trees AND felling a few right-at-me …plus getting my saw “compressed” and “stuck” in the tree (had to finish felling tree by AX to get it out). Definitely got my money’s worth out of the Stihl and it still runs great after 15 years and a few trees fallin ON it. But what I really got my moneys worth out of were my chainsaw Chaps - cut into them twice !! They saved me a trip to the Hospital, I think I’m getting more proficient with the chainsaw now because I haven’t cut into my chaps in over 10 years !! (Also stopped felling trees over 30” diameter). I know Husqvarna also make profession grade saws and heard they are also great. I’m No expert but if buying any chainsaw - get the CHAPS, Helmet, face screen, and steel toe boots BEFORE you buy the chainsaw…and wear them regardless of heat or comfort - you might only need them once but that’s all-it-takes.Recently in the tread about discontinued products Wyatt smith , Bob Nelson , myself and a few other gentleman were discussing the merits of several brands of chainsaw including some of which that are no longer in production. @Philip Glass - I also use only the Stihl with synthetic oil but only NON ethanol gas….sometime hard to find the Non ethanol but worth the drive and I only use a gallon or two each year.I exclusively use Stihl premium synthetic 2 stroke oil and Stabil Marine gas treatment. The blue Stabil is supposed to be the best for dealing with ethanol. We use so much I can't afford the premix.
