I've often thought one of the things that catches my eye on a nyala is it's light forelegs. So I thought that if I ever hunted one I'd try and show it off. Then A few years ago I happened across a used book called 'A Breath from the Veldt' by John Guille Milais. Interesting story and history, and amazing artwork. One picture of a kudu bull caught my attention with it's foreleg up near the body. Perfect for a mount to both show it off and keep it out of the way on the wall and in shipping.
Well here's the drawing, and a pic of my nyala from my avatar mounted by Relive Taxidermy out of Port Elizabeth. Soon to be packed and head to Alaska.
