Cotton seed as deer feed/attractant?

Cotton seed is a major component of most protein pellet products. Buy it by the ton, put a tarp over it good to go for storage. Lots of competition for it these days, glad I got off the lease and the feed business. It will bulk up the deer and hogs and coons don’t really seem to care about from what I’ve seen.

We use to feed it to cattle when it was available here around Coleman and Brownwood… We’d see some deer take to it but they always seemed to frequent the lease guys corn better. My buddy in Sonora tried for a while and never could get the whitetail, axis, or sika turned on to it.

Have not been able to get our deer to hit it either. Will try adding some corn like was suggested up top.

I've hunted a good bit in south TX down near the King ranch. I've seen a lot of cotton seed in the feeders and the hogs come in like normal to it. Turkeys like it too.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
