Custom Rifle Set, PRE64 M70 375, 270, M52 22LR

"Grats on the sale..................about half price too...................FWB

Absolutely gorgeous, first class rifles there. Well done!

Dogcat, you're lucky I was traveling and didn't see this until it was too late. Congrats on the purchase.

Rarely do I beat you to a great rifle. I feel very fortunate!

Wow that is a great set of rifles. Very nice.

I've been inactive for a little while but here is the shotgun that I didn't list that goes with the set. I represented Winchester Classic Doubles and Parker Reproductions until the Olin-Kodensha plant in Japan went under (they sold the real estate to build a multilevel golf driving range!). Miroku is the premier gunmaker that made guns for Charles Daly, Browning and Winchester. I was in talks to represent them here and this is a gun they sent me, of course with select wood! I paid them and kept it, and later sent it to Briley and had it fitted with their chokes ($557 today for the set). It comes with 2 CYL, 2 IMP CYL, and 1 MOD, wrench and case. It sat with me in leopard blinds twice with the CYL chokes and #4 buck. I will sell it for $1900.

Always pulling out all the Good Stuff! Someone will be super happy with the Shotgun and Mr. Wells. What a Guy!

Beautiful gun and a great buy for anyone. Thats nicer than most Citori’s at a very good price.

A fantastic trio

I need to give an update on this and these fine rifles.
I did buy them from CrippledEagle. They are as nice as they look. They shoot extremely well also. In addition to these I bought a Sako Riihimaki L46 in .222 Rem with the same Leupold M8-6x compact scope. This Sako was built as a twin to a rifle Jack O'connor had built by Al Beisen. It is mint and very accurate.

A significant change of life event has occurred and I did not make the trip to Africa. I also need to sell these rifles.

The Model 52 is sold but the others remain as CrippleEagle sold them to me.

I have consigned these to Matt Roberts, MNR Custom Gunmaker, www.mnrcustom.com, at 802-384-0599, to sell on my behalf. They are priced at what I paid or below. Matt has examined these rifles and can answer questions I cannot. However, everything CrippleEagle said when he sold them to me has been 100% true.

I have instructed to accept any reason offer with special consideration for selling as a group. The prices are shown on Matt's website.

In summary, there are three custom rifles - Win M70 in .375 HH and in .270 Win, and an custom Sako in .222 Rem, with scopes and some paperwork on them.

I regret having to do this but life takes turns.

Thanks.

Ugh, that was a cool set. Sorry to hear you have to let it go. Love the 52B that sold. I don't see the Sako .222 listed there?

The Sako is listed on Matt Roberts website. You can see it in his Gun Vault.

Awesome Triplets

Wow what a set, how did I miss these?? I would have taken them!! Congratulations on the sale!

Update.
Thanks for the interest.
Matt is rephotoing the .222 and will post it on his website on Monday.
The Model 70's are posted there and have excellent pics.
Price is very negotiable at this point.

Thanks to the buyer of the .375 HH.
The .270 and .222 Rem are still available at seriously lowered prices . They are at www.mrncustom.com in the gun vault. Call Matt anytime and make a deal.
Thanks.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
