Since AHR and subsequently Matrix stopped doing custom work on CZ’s, I have seen a number of discussions looking for help in this area. Roger Renner (RJ Renner) and I were discussing a project he is working on for me and I mentioned this to him. Apparently he does this work. If you are in the market for this service it may be worth giving him a call. I’m reposting a pic of the No 1 in .275 he did for me to give you an idea of the quality of his work.

I would love to send him an ruger 77 in 7x57

He has another rifle of mine now. His work is outstanding. He makes a No 1
What it should have been all along.

@WAB get some AR500 targets. They will hold up much better.

Those are AR500. You’re seeing the work of a 458 Lott.

That looks great!

And this No. 1 for me. Superb work, and remarkably quick.

RJ does very nice work, Years ago he built me a 12 bore allen underhammer style muzzle loader.

I wounder if he has a way to make the pistol grip into a Prince of Wales style round grip?

Hi AZDAVE,
I am pretty sure he could do that for you. Reach out to him and tell him Matt sent you and that you are on AH.

Saw this post. Sorry I’m late to it. I have a 7 mm Mag number 1, was looking for a smith who specializes in number 1’s. Looking to have gun accurized. Has those number 1 issues. And if it needed a new barrel could he sweat sights back on it?

Indeed he can. Not many guys will pull the barrel on a number one, but Roger does. Just give him a call.

Thank you!! Definitely will. My smith passed last year and didn’t get a chance to get gun to him. He also was a number 1 expert. He actually built the New England custom firearms 20ga number 1. And built a couple really cool muzzle loaders on it. Google it and check it out. He was a true master!!!

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
