Denver International Sportsmans Expo

Those as good as any reasons to go. I like to go and poke around to see if anything jumps out. When I went to Botswana, I shot a Burchells zebra, but did not process the hide. Part of me wants to see if any vendors have one.

2025 Denver Int'l Expo coming up January 9-12. The seminars don't do too much for me, but several PH's will be there. Anyone from the forum going?

Since I am not doing Dallas (Atlanta) this year and all my hunts are booked, I might scoot up to Denver and check it out.

I was hoping to make SCI this year, but don't believe it will pan out. I try to make the Denver show at least once or twice.

If it wasn't for a 120 mile drive over two snowy passes I'd be there.

Even if it is in Denver.

I'll be attending - hell, I live here so...

There are more African outfitters attending than I expected.
Right? That was my take as well. I'll try to touch base with as many PH's as I can to put something together for '25.

I avoid the Denver cesspool at all costs, except for the Expo and National Western. Expo requires a stop at Sam's for my annual biscuits and gravy.

I'm off next friday so if the weather is perfect I might go. I'm just a bit further away than JimP so not really likely though.
The guide I fished with on kodiak will have a booth set up. Alaska outdoor addiction. Beian is a bit crazy but I've never had a guide work harder to make sure everyone was happy. He cleaned and vac sealed the fish for us at no extra charge and put in over 16 hours each day making sure it was ready for our departure.
Was planning to go just to visit with him again.

The last time that I went over I got a room for Friday night and headed home on Saturday. What a mistake, the roads were fine but it took 5 hours to go from the C470 interchange to Idaho Springs due to skier traffic and other idiots.

Watching traffic report this morning, 1 1/2 hours from Georgetown to tunnels. Crazy crap. We just take rail from Parker to conv center. Where are you guys coming from?

No guts, no glory Jim! The icy mountain roads just add to the excitement. LOL I went last year when it was -12F and it was dicey going up I-25 with all of the idiots on the road and icy snow packed conditions. But we parked in south Denver somewhere and took the light rail the rest of the way to the convention center. Don't know if I'm going this year because the roads will be dry. LOL

We deer and elk hunted for years in the 80's and 90's above Glenwood canyon. Exited at Dotsero and up Coffee Pot rd. Either in Flattops by Budge's or hiked Broken Rib trail back a few miles. Many good memories, and game.

The '92 blizzard was ugly up there, if you guys remember that.

It would almost be easier to hop a flight and then ride the trains if I wanted to spend $$$$$$

Might try to make it Friday depending on work schedule. Sunday might be an option too. Not too concerned as I’m booked up the next couple years and have SCI coming up shortly for 3 full days

I have a Dr appointment Friday morning but I will probably drive down to Denver after that.
Fun to talk to the people I hunted with in Africa. Looking for a mule deer hunt?

Hello there. I’ve been wanting to introduce myself personally & chat with you about hunting Nilgai. Give me a call sometime…

Best,

+1 Great to deal with. I purchased custom rifle. No issues.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?
