When you arrive you will be turning into the driveway of a house. There is a sign there for the gun club. Follow the driveway around the house, past the gun store on the left behind the house, continue past the buildings on your right. At the bottom of the hill the pistol range will be on your left, there will be a match going on, proceed past them and park anywhere on your right. You will see us set up on the right side.

The targets are built, the metal is painted, the barbecue is smoked, the firing line roped off, we are fully prepped for a good time tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing you all there!. I believe we have a really excellent assortment of targets that will offer a lot of challenging shooting opportunities for everyone from the novice to the most advances shooters.

Good luck. I wish I could have gotten there.

Sorry I could not attend due to family. extremely well done @Backyardsniper!!! I’m sure this was not easy to coordinate and I am sure is so appreciated by our members who could attend!!!

The first West Ky double rifle/ big bore rifle shoot is in the books. I want to say thanks to all the guys that came out. There was a lot of shooting done, there was a LOT of interesting rifles to try out and plenty of bbq to eat. I look forward to getting next years shoot planed! I think there will be a few new double rifle owners after today
We plan to work on some new targets for next year. I hope to engineer us some form of moving target and maybe a "charging" target. We will have to see what we come up with.

No sore heads. But you left out many May have sore shoulders. LOL. I finally decided that I needed to try @Backyardsniper's 470 double. I much appreciated you allowing to test my recoil level with your double rifle.

The result was a:

My Brain:
ooh gotta have one of these and we know where was is at.

My Shoulder:
Screw you! Brain. That CZ 550 in 458WM is enough. Especially with those rather unpleasant reloads, at 2000+ fps.

The food was great! Thanks @Backyardsniper and your missus for such a great lunch. I'm pretty such the slow shooting start was due to those attending had seen your post of your grilling. I for one definitely enjoyed the soup beans and potato casserole.

Many thanks to you and the help you received from the gun club for hosting this event.

Looking forward to next year's shoot.

I'm really glad to hear everyone had a good time. Thanks again to everyone who came, I know a few of you all drove three or four hours to come down. I really look forward to next year's. Hopefully I can take what we learned from this year's shoot and make next year even better.
Here is the group pic from this year's shoot

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
