DSC or SCI convention

@C.W. Richter
Rhetorical or not you are getting a reply.
I am not “from” Texas but do now live in TX, so no bias in my opinion that I gave. I never lived in TX when I attended any past shows for DSC or SCI. And I do not live in Dallas or Houston, thanks. I am several hours from both. You do not have to be so spikey. Sounds like you are the biased one.
We'd say 100% IF you reside in TX, you're FROM TX. That's dem talk! ;) Journalists often twist words. As biden says: "it's a thing." Yes, we are all about the same goals, but not all ID with Dallas (since the TV show in the 70s lol). So Dallas has moved to Atlanta?? lol

Being democratic is why you had Obama, Clintons, Biden, Harris, Feinsteed, Peloser, Schifforbrains, the DEM cibolo creek ranch owner that killed off Scalia, et. al. 1600s USA roots Spikeys make for change! No sugarcoating, no angle, NO BS! Why did DSC split off from SCI?? (split off meaning separate or simply set up independently.) We were always skeptical of NRA and how they handled $.

Do you say 2+2=5 also?
Sorry you are a dem and a Biden fan. I am not.
Please…move along. Not sure who urinated in whatever you are drinking tonight.

Are you telling us or asking? If I had tonchoose, I'd go SCI, because it's larger, in a centralized location (now), a more family-friendly forum, and features more worldwide hunting opportunities. I love TX. Been there, done that. Less "border" issues in Nashville! ;) How long have you been in America?
I would say you must not have attended both recently if you think SCI is larger than DSC.... Or more family friendly.

DSC is larger now. Not sure how the temporary move to Atlanta will impact that. DSC is way lower cost to attend. And DSC is more practical and user friendly in their way of doing business.

We pre-bought 2 day passes to SCI this year. Got there a day early and tried to buy an extra day but couldn't.... very strange. We could buy 4 day or two, but not 3. So we just went down town and enjoyed Nashville and SCI made less money... which is hard to fathom as they are such I intense fund raisers.

We had a blast at both and hope to attend both again.

they lost the WxSW crowd. perhaps they need to learn the geographic center of the US? lol Maybe kickbacks from the forum? lol 'Murica

If some are like me I will do DSC in 2024.
I doubt I will go to Atlanta during the move or SCI. Timing that time of year for me is hard to take off work for days that would be needed. It's tough enough to do DSC in Dallas and I live in Texas.

Your Delphi technique skills are coming along, but no, sorry to disappoint. My ancestors came to and cleared this land in the 1600s-1700s. That would make me a Patriot, still caring for those same lands today. I just have 0 tolerance for BS, such as what you wrote above. What's your story in this regard, oh Lady living in, but not from TX? LOL Atlanta Safari Club it is! That name will def attract some top-end gang rappers of the vicinity...

It is really unfortunate for you that you are so insecure and intimidated by a woman that you decide to choose my opinion given to the OP to pick on. Sad, however, also a bit hilarious! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

And good on you for finally getting it correct, that living somewhere does not mean you are from there! Good job! (y)

I don't see how anything your or anyone else's distance ancestors did, has any bearing on whether you are a patriot or not. The Founding Father's of this country fought and died to throw out the very concept of hereditary monarchies. This is the Land of the Free, because of the Brave. Not because of their decendents....

WTH is it to you that Gina (and I, and many others) now live in the Great State of Texas. We are very grateful and honored to be able to do so. However we were not born here. We have in fact just moved here late this spring. So no, we were not from Texas when we last attended DSC and SCI.

Why are you singling out @Just Gina to have this ridiculous rant towards?

I am also wondering what you are drinking tonight?

Where have you been? I'm a highly-trained engineer/business owner w/ little time for these antics that I swiftly dealt with at the world's largest corporation i used to work at. lol
  • “Where are you from?” is a common question used to discover where you currently live. No picking, other than busting on a writer that should know better.
The D SC moving to A is akin to gambling. Perhaps the committee was thinking "Oh, let's capitalize upon the wealth along the E. Coast!" It excludes a lot of other places in America. It is a tad elitist, so it must be in an area featuring wealthier people...we shall see how that works out. I'm more interested in sharing hunting experience and hunting, than the commercial end of it.

Perhaps YOU are the Democrat? ;) I'm definitively NOT. Your responses have been full of (attempted) spin, just like all the other lowly journalists.

i think it was primarily of religious freedom from the RCC (which essentially resulted in the illegal immigrant problemo we have today) and taxation sans rep (which the Dems have down pat these days!) My ancestors even treated the Native Americans well and had no slaves. Imagine that!
No RCC slave (mining, industry) wave in the 1800s, No Bidens. No RCC missions (sex w/ natives SA, SC Asia et al) in the mid-ages, no Illegal immigrants. lol Can't change the hands of time, but there it is. Not to mention the touchy-feely priesthood, etc. God bless you-'searched high and low years back and almost bought 1600 ac along the Rio, and then one of your typ slimeball realtors selling out another property in the Hill Country (w/ a signed agreement). NFW now! Many friends in TX, but they agree w/ what I say, excepting they all love the DSC. It's a much shorter drive (or, it was.)

Perhaps we have a different understanding of the term ‘where are you from’? When asked, I say that I am from Canada but I currently reside in Alabama.

context. certainly something a writer should understand, but def not a Dem! lol

I am not a writer and never said I was. Or a journalist. Not quite sure why you continue to make those remarks. You started it and clearly will never be finished.
Maybe after you pass out and wake up sober tomorrow, you will be in a better mood.
Good night to you now!

often traveling the world for business or sport, IF i want to know, I ask someone "Where are you Originally from?" It's proper English.

I think he’s been drinking. Drunk posting is sometimes a problem here and the internet in general. Don’t worry, we all appreciate @Just Gina!

You remind me of a question I was asked once by an engineer. "How did you get so far in your business without hiring an engineer?"

My reply was "very happily at a much more reasonable cost with very simple solutions that actually work."

You way over complicate things and are holding up progress fiddling around with stupid details that don't matter.

Thanks Scott, that is what I've been telling Gina;)

w/ 2 kids drs, 2 300 y/o+ farms, home, own business, et. al. it's worked out pretty well. i've heard all the eng jokes, but they're written by lowly journalists other talking heads and mechanics that just don't live the same life. Environmental engineering requires many skills...not like a pencil-pusher designing parking lots, piping systems or elevator shafts. I clean up the world's industrial-military complex nightmares, for profit. Engineers are necessary in most big businesses, but some of us have a clear understanding and move on to own the joint. ;) Most jokes are actually directed to Azn engineering...why it takes 2.5 hrs to switch out batteries in a diesel jap truck (the fender/airbox/body/wiring harness/pwr steering reservoir wedge one in and the other takes 5 min.) Akin to all the cheap ATV/UTV/tractors selling in America today, based ONLY upon price. smh
