Eight Hot New Cartridges

I am a big fan of the 338 Rem Ultra Mag
Even production of this caliber has almost diseased. I bought plenty of RP brass to last me years of reloading. I have a 338 Win Mag but most often I carry my Rem 700 XCR2 during moose season in 338 RUM with 225gr Swift A Frames.

Someone over a drink or two said to me "Before the Great War - DG calibers were sorted, Before WW2 the plains game calibres were sorted "

I tend to agree - here in Europe shortages of primers and 6.5 Creedmoor ammo have left many struggling - I have a small gun store (hobby) and plenty of 6.5x55 - plenty of 7x57 - etc

I have reduced my stable to 3 rifles - 303 Brit 404 J and 505 Gibbs - kinda does everything!

When a younger man I spent hours no weeks checking calibres and ballistics - now I have a rangefinder flat shooting is not such a requirement.

However, will always be able to get ammo for the above and some of the older calibres !

I have never thought anybody on Iceland shoot or hunt(sorry).....and I would never have thought anybody on Iceland would have a .505Gibbs(another apology)....Maybe some old beat up .303 MK3 in case of polarbears.

What are the gunlaws up there?..Can anybody go out and shoot in the more deserted areas of the island?..

Greetings from Denmark....:LOL
