Another spectacular season has some to an end at Karoo Wild Safaris. It's been a season of tremendous variety and absolute quality. We hunted in Limpopo and Kwazulu Natal for rarer species like hyena, civet, red duiker, Limpopo bushbuck, crocodile, and African wildcat. In our home province of the Eastern Cape, our sustainable hunting model has paid dividends with our hunters taking some world class trophies this year, including 4 vaal rhebuck over 9", two of them will score in the top 10 of the SCI record books. Apart from offering classic plains game hunting, we've become a niche outfit for quality Tiny Ten hunts, offering our clients access to all the species in the collection. Despite our growth, we still remain true to our core mission of offering well planned, personal, fun and rewarding African safari experiences.
The 2024 season kicked off in March with a hunt with Seth and Julie, their first African safari and a celebration of their 15th wedding anniversary. Jason guided them on their hunt for the spiral slam and springbok slam species. After their hunt, I toured with them along the coast for some activities in Plettenberg Bay.
Richard and son Adam returned over Easter for their 2nd hunt with us. They had a spectacular hunt, taking some truly special trophies. Adam made up for missing out on a kudu last year by hunting two trophy kudu.
Tim hunted with us on his 2nd hunt in South Africa. He hunted some Tiny Ten species endemic to our area and completed a springbok slam.
