Hello! I'm 12 years-old and am looking for advice on here for Africa. A fellow here by the name of 'Trigger Creep' (my Nephew) reccommended talking to Safari Agencies, etc. but, I wanted to try my luck here!:D I was sort of leaning towards Zimbabwe until my Nephew said that they shoot Christians and Whites in some parts. I'm thinking of Namibia or maybe South Africa for a 'Begginer's Safari', can anyone reccommend a region??? I use a Remington Model Six chambered in .308 Winchester and am looking to go after Kudu/Impala/Hartebeest and such, I was thinking of a place called 'Bosbok Safaris', I talked to the guy there and he is pretty nice, any other Reccommends, though?

Lol, why is there a wierd post at the top? I really don't get it... is this some joke?

Oh, well my bad for posting in the wrong category... even though it is about hunting in Africa!

Interesting that Christian Snyder who is older than you, is your nephew? And he told you that Christians and whites are shot in parts of Zim? The same could be said for anywhere on the planet, but it makes no sense here. Confused.

Joseph,

Are you being serious or just yanking our chains. Are you really 12 years old with a nephew that post on here. Nephews tend to be younger but I guess not always.

The comment about Zimbabwe is simply not true. I have never heard of a client hunter being murdered or even attacked by locals in Zimbabwe. I have been to Zim three times and have travelled all over the country and have never felt unsafe.

If you are serious about hunting in Africa I am sure somebody can answer your question about Bosbok Safaris or SA or Namibia.

joseph snyder is referring to Christian Snyder (15 or so) who goes by trigger creep on AH.

Joe. You got it all wrong. They kill and eat guys named christian in zimbabwe..regrardless of color. Tell your nephew to stay away at all costs. Guys named Joe get off with a simple beating.

Funny Post:crazylol:

Yes, he's my Nephew, just a bit older than me, and yeah, he said there are some bushgangs that shoot Whites and Christians.

Welcome to AH. It is good to see young people involved in hunting.
Search this site and any other for the word "Zim". Then see if you find any violence perpetuated against tourist hunters. You will not.

There have been farm seizures. Most were not violent but some were. Three nights ago a friend I have known for over 40 years dined with my wife and me at my house. She has lived in Zim since 1985. Her and her husband raised three children there. They also lost their farm in 2001. They now live in Harare and still believe Zim is the best place on earth to live.

Things constantly change in Africa. Read these sites. Attend DSC or SCI convention. Join DSC.

Read Ruark, Capstick, Hemingway, Taylor and others. There is nothing better than a proper African safari.

Welcome to AH...may you have a long stay...and add to the forum...

What rifle do you shoot?

What line up of animals are you looking at going after?

Will you be taking your Nephew with you? (fat Chance on that one) or your Dad and Mother?

There are many on her who will provide you a great opportunity to go on safari...Do not forget that there is also South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe who will be more that willing to work with you on scheduling your safari...

You have to have a vision and dream and work toward the goal to make it take place...

shoot well

Hi, I shoot a Remington Model Six chambered in .308 Winchester.:) As I've mentioned earlier, for now I'm lookng on Antelope and will hopefully advance to the Big 5. The chances are I'm probably not taking anyone with me because I'm waiting a little longer before I go, once I'm about 16, I should have enough money to go on a Safari.:) I read J.A. Hunter and Peter Hathawat Capstick's books and own a real Pith Helmet, and my whole room is a Safari room, so yeah, I have a BIG dream!!:D Thanks for concerns!!!!

Welcome Joe. Just pulling your chain a bit.

It's great to have dreams and to have a plan to fulfill them....welcome to AH.

Trigger Creep was born from my oldest Brother-I was born from my parents-he was born in '97-I was born in '99-he's slightly older than me-I'm not yanking anybody's chain:)
