You've seen many previous posts on here, we all love a good story/experience. Only exception is the ones that go like 10 pages.Here is mine. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the Taxidermy who did the work. Long story.

Not to derail but the biggest problem I’ve had with taxidermist mostly in Africa but some in the states as well is the failure to follow mounting instructions. On my last safari out of 5 mounts 3 were totally different than the poses I specifically showed the taxidermist this included the gemsbok, they actually had one pretty close to what you have and he said no problem.It’s very difficult to mount a gemsbok, or any straight long horn animal, with the head lower unless you are going to make at least a 90 degree turn. The horns would hit the wall in semi sneak mount unless you tilted his head down 90 degrees to floor as if fighting
