Food and Drink

When I went to South Africa with the family, the food was like nothing I've ever had. Before we get to the exotic stuff, I drank Pineapple Fanta and had a Magnum Gold ice cream bar before the brands landed here in 'Murica. The two most memorable resturants were a seafood place called Panama Jack and another resturant that I can't remember the name of. At Panama Jacks, the seafood was so good (Mozambique Lobster, shrimp, mussels, etc.) we ordered seconds. When I went to the mall in Cape Town, I got myself some ostrich biltong which was a nice treat. At the other restaurant, I ordered a wild game kebab (wildebeest, impala, springbok, and kudu) and they were all delicious, especially the wildebeest and impala which I still consider the best things I've ever eaten. The food at the game reserve we were at (Simbambili) was also top notch. Dishes included kudu with butternut squash soup, impala sausage, and plenty of sausage & bacon in the morning.

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
