For sale is an Interarms Whitworth 375 Holland.
First, this rifle is not a safe queen. It has dings/missing finish on the stock and missing finish in a few spots on the metal. That being said, the rifle wasn't abused, is sound and a good shooter. I don't want someone disappointed if they are expecting an excellent condition, unhunted rifle. And I want to make sure I'm not representing it that way. I have attempted to take pictures of what I feel are the worst areas for dings or missing finish. I keep a light coat of ballistol on my rifles, stock and action and then keep them in gun socks. The sheen you see is light oil. The stock finish is pretty flat if wiped off or hasn't been oiled in a while.
I'd rather under represent this rifle, and it not sell, than have someone get upset or be disappointed over the sale. The reason for sale is that I have other medium bores I use (33, 35, 38-55) and I have been shooting/hunting a lot of cast bullet rifle loads with smaller volume cartridges.
The bore is in good condition and I have attempted to picture that, but the picture would never come out.
The trigger is light, crisp with no creep and the safety is functional.
I didn't have any trouble with feeding. The receiver channels where the bolt lugs travel weren't machined very finely on these rifles. Some people work to smooth that, I have not.
It shot 300 SGKs into about 2-2.5" at 100yds with the express sights. It shot Speer 235 hot-cors into about 3-4", though I did no load development with those. I never mounted a scope, nor does it appear the previous owner did. I did not regulate the sights; they shot close enough for my hunting needs.
Length of pull is nearly 14" with the hogue recoil pad I added.
I am in North central Indiana. I would prefer a face to face sale. If that isn't practical, I can take the rifle to a dealer near me of your choice to verify I am who I say I am and I haven't misrepresented the rifle. In that case, I would ship the rifle through them for their fee. Otherwise, make sure your FFL dealer will accept a rifle from a private individual with copy of driver's license. I'm not shipping the rifle outside the US. With a strong preference for a face to face sale, I can be flexible on rifle price or purchase of the cartridge components if the sale is made that way.
I have 50 new Norma cases, 50 new Remington cases and 24-1x-2x fired/loaded Norma cases. I also have 50-300gr tsx' and over 200-235gr Speer hot cors. Finally a set of RCBS dies. These are not included with purchase of the rifle, but would be available for purchase by any purchaser of this rifle. I would post these up for sale on AH if no interest by rifle purchaser.
I've seen these Whitworths sell for $1250-1300 on AH. Since mine is more loved, I am offering it for $850 plus shipping and any dealer fees on my end if that route is chosen.
