Hmmm.... Never heard of a 217gr. bullet?

I got them from @Terry Blauwkamp, if I remember right he said they were made for the European market, those are his load numbers on the box

I think the 217 gr bullets are just immature 225 gr bullets. Given them another year or so and they will likely grow to become 225s. :A Whistle:

And the Swift 213gr. for the Australian market? LOL

I have a few 217s that someone on this forum sent me a few years ago to try out. My 338-06 AI seemed to like them pretty well and Swifts did great work for me in Africa this past summer. I’ll put them to good use.

thanks

I recall the 217 grain 338 A-Frames being made about 15 years ago. I talked with Swift about them- a die was out of adjustment so the run ended up missing the weight so they were sold as seconds- other than not being 225 gr there is nothing wrong with them. Seems like I bought about 500 of them and they worked well.

Saw a good looking knife you posted a pic of with the watermelon. Can I ask the make? Looks like you hunted with Guav Johnson? We overlapped in the Save once. Would like to hunt with him one day..
