Hi Everybody!

Just got back from a trip through the explosive spring at Gredos Mountains, Spainï½´s central Ibex paradise, and connected back to AH and...wow!!!!!Thatï½´s a new!!!!Thankï½´s veryone!!!!What can I say????Thanks!!!

About the winning picture I must let you all know that it was taken at an island in the middle of the Zambeze river, just between Zimbabwe and Zambia, not far from Vic falls. Late in the afternoon we had the chance of living this unique scene with elephants crossing the river everywhere, with the hippos soundtrack really close.....The light was amazing, as you can see in the p?. The camera I used was my personal one, Canon 500D, with an 18-55 lense.

Iï½´ must show my respect and gratitude to everyone involved on this great contest: starting with AH.com, this amazing site that allow us to dream, from wherever we are, with the magic that surrounds Africa and its hunt. I must say there is a lot of very useful information on here, thank you guys! I really hope many of the new members that came though this contest, spread by all of us, will remain at this site, contributing to its prestige through hunting comunity.

Special thanks to Hartzview Safaris, (Jacques-Iï½´m willing to meet&hunt with you!), thanks for this amazing challenge. I will PM you asap.

Thanks to all the other members that sent pictures and contributed to its success, doesnt matter if they where finalists or not, it was amazing to discover day by day different hunting spots from worlwide, all of them taken with love and passion for what we do.

Thanks for all those ones who voted, specially the ones that voted mines :), because your effort on it will allow me to dream again (and someone else! now I must decide who deserves it! Another contest in muy life, oh, no,no,too much stress on my life! ;)).

I promise Iï½´ll do my best on my report of this hunt with Hartzview next year and keep you updated!

Again, thanks to all,

Luis

SNIPER59, with your vote creating the win, LUIS should take you along. :)

Congratulations LUIS.

LUIS, I figure you owe about as many pictures from your upcoming hunt as votes you received. Looking forward to your chronicle.

HAHAHA Brickburn...well if he should ask me, I would gladly accept!!...I could even be his guide as I will be hunting with Jacques at Hartzview starting June 13th...just 5 weeks away...and looking forward to it!!

Hello everybody,

Firstly congratulations to Luis winning the contest with some good pictures. I also would like to apologize for being a little quite on the forum lately. We have been very busy keeping our clients happy so I have not had much time to get to my AH friends. I will be posting some awesome lion and plainsgame pictures in a day or so as I have to do it between brunch and our afternoon hunts.

Luis we are looking forward on having you in camp and I can assure SNIPER that we will be having a great time in 5x weeks time.....

Looking forward on hosting and offering our forum members many more competitions and excellent safaris.

Best regards,

Jacques

Tis the season to be busy. You are not alone with your silence lately Jacques.

Good luck and stay safe.

Definitely WILDEBEEST

I also vote Wildebeest.

Here is an email I've just received from AH member Luis who won HartzView Hunting Safaris' contest. Story and pictures to be posted by Luis soon!

Dear Jerome and all other friends from AH.com,
Just to let you all know that I'm finally safely back home after my last succesful safari experience at Hartzview Safaris, due to the competition I was lucky to win on AH last year.
What can I say about it? It has been a life in a time hunting experience, no doubt on it!
Hartzview Hunting Safaris, with Jacques and Ruan on top of it, are making really good hunts and safari experiences at their luxury camp in South Africa. Great lodge, amazing hunting cuisine, wonderful self bottled wines, cold beers for after the hunts, amazing conversations under the stars heated by an openair fire, special animals, special stalks...
As images are better than words to express what we have lived thanks to all you, please find attached a few pics I was able to make while hunting, hoping you will enjoy them.
Thanks again for allowing me to live this experience.
Best regards,
Luis

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
