I recently discovered the YouTube channel of Kirby Allison. He has a series called "From Suit to Shoot," detailing every consideration for a traditional Scottish shoot, from attire, to guns, to etiquette, etc. This includes a visit to Purdey for his guns!

Fascinating series highlighting craftsman who still do things the old way.

Here's the trailer for the series:

And here's the episode covering his visit to Purdey:

Looks like I will book in some You Tube time.
I'd like to see some of the "Nice Stuff" but it's out of my budget.

Our Carruthers group is booked into an estate in Scotland next September for stag stalking and grouse shooting. The first two days will be around London hiring tweeds and visiting Purdeys, Rigbys Holland and Holland and Westley Richards. So this Suit to Shoot series is very relevant, thank you Rinehart.

Nice suit and definitely nice guns. But fake pheasant hunt. I've been on driven shoots in the UK, Scotland and Spain. There were no birds flying past him on the video which is absolutely impossible. Apparently that land he was on offered simulated driven shoots.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
