+1 on the CZ 550s. Bought my son one in 6.5x55 and it's a shooter. Loves Superformance ammo. Sub-moa after a Timney trigger install.

I think 6.5x55 in 140-150g premium bullets would be great for impala, reedbuck, springbok, and the smaller stuff.

My son's CZ 550 in 6.5x55. Yes, he's dinged up the stock already - and he wasn't happy when it happened! We've ordered a cheek rest with cartridge loops from levergunleather.com that will cover that boo-boo and raise the comb up a bit to accommodate that 50mm scope.

I sympathise BUT putting a couple of dings in the stock or a minor nick in the metal when out in the bush, is what we do with our hunting (as opposed to target) rifles.

We sell alot of the Sako Bavarian rifles. Aside form looking STUNNING, they are boringly accurate...

We can them “experience marks” in our house. This boo-boo didn’t occur in the bush - it was at home. Thus the frustration!

@ Red Leg, yes i took 2 Impala and 2 Blesbuck the weekend I got it. Must have taken over 50 Impala and Bleshbuck with it over the years. It remains my favourate for small game.

My father has an Husqvarna full stock in 243. He killed his first deer with it, as did myself and my daughter. When it becomes mine, I am going to have it restored to new in box condition. After that, I will let my grandchild use it for there first deer too. (Hopefully that's many many years away.) That said, you could pick up new SAKO for only a little more depending on the condition of a used one and know its drop dead accurate right out of the box.

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
