Gaitors

Spike,
Maybe I did not make myself clear.
When I wear hunting boots under long pants with the sticker and thorn proof nylon front (regular old Cabelas bird hunting britches), I do not get stickers, seeds and such crap in my boots.
Plus, I never hunt in short pants, but I can see how they would invite debris into low cut footwear.

Sounds like you are headed to South Africa so short gators are fine. Just make sure they are made of quiet material. Leather is quiet and looks cool with shorts. Farther north in Tsetse fly country I prefer long pants and high gaiters over the trousers So the blood thirsty little devils cannot crawl up my pants leg. Swampy country where the leeches roam i duct my trousers then slip on high gaiters. Anything from African Creations or Courtney is high quality stuff.

This is Jim from African Sporting Creations and we offer two kudu hide gaiters; ones that tie and ones that zip www.africansc.com

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
