Going over to the dark side...

being a lexus version yours is going to be a lot more luxurious than my old 1995 model , but being lighter with no electric anything and basic trim, and old man emu suspension it was very good off road and on dirt roads. bit under 300,000kms on it i think.

I guess that I am the odd man out on this one. I love the Range Rover and highly recommend them to anyone.

From a comfort perspective, a well-equipped Range Rover is just about the most luxurious SUV on the market. It also has the best seats in a car. Its just about the only car that I don't get lower back pain from a long drive in.

Range Rovers are the best performance SUV on the market. With that said, I only recommend that you get one with a supercharged V8 engine. Anyhting less and it does become a little slow on the highway. If you do opt for the supercharged route, it is unlike any other SUV that you have ever driven.

Now Range Rovers also handle better than just about any car that I have ever owned in bad weather. If you live in a snowy climate, then this is the car for you. Not only can you just tank over snow and rain, but it honestly will off-road. If you don't believe me, look up some videos online. It is a good feeling knowing that you can go anywhere.

I know everyone in this thread so far has lots of complaints about how their Range Rover broke X part before being fixed and then breaking Y. I will admit that Range Rovers can be tempermental at times and the company has been known for some quality issues in the past, but if you are smart when buying used, you can avoid this problem. I really am willing to put up with all of this just because it is the finest SUV on the market and has a personality unlike any other that car. With that said, you have to remember that I have owned Jaguars my entire life (y)

damnit I missed the last two posts! Sorry that I was too late to bring you to the dark side of british cars. Best luck with your Lexus. I hope you enjoy it.:A Drive:

Here's a pic, I got the dealer to throw in some BFG AT 265/R75 16s. The AHC is on it's way out so I'm having Slee put in their 1.5" OME lift kit with diff drop and front skid plate next month. Happy so far for $9000
