Good Gun Deals This Week

Tonight’s SCI auction. This price is still a steal. For now at least. Included the Swarovski EE scope

I could go as high as 349.75 Guess I will head back to Cabelas for a plastic production rifle.
Wait until next fall when Cabelas/Bass Pro has Browning X Bolts on sale. With all their discounts plus Browning’s fall coupon I bought their basic OD green stocked Hunter model .300WM for $533 out the door. It seems that with many rifle brands, their stocks with proprietary camo patters go up exponentially in price for just “makeup”. I prefer a factory walnut stocked rifle but that option seems to becoming more unobtanium at reasonable prices. I’m not going to fight it.

Some times those kind of rifles get the job done every time. You are not wrried about scratching it. If they are reliable from the getgo then they are. They take animals as good as any.

That’s what I tell the Mrs. when she asks….”I have it out to use. That’s why they gave it to me.”
Do what I do - just remember the numbers. There’s only 23 on an Australian card (16 on the card number, 4 for the date (MM/YY) and CCV). Makes it reaaallllly fast.

I dont know what the price was but I am curious as the scope itself is worth north of 2K
Someone will chime in as I cannot recall. From (rusty) memory, there was a $5K+ delta between the nice highland stalker and the very basic Big Game in .416. The .416 sports a Zenith as compared to the nicer Z8i. I inquired at Bass Pro or Cabela's once about how in the world they determine pricing and was told at the time that they generally don't consider the optic in their offer to buy or sales price! May have just been that one location, but it was interesting to say the least.

Reporting back. It was $7999! Simple math, but roughly half price of the .416.

Probably from the same person who brought in that Rigby 9.3x62 but this Rigby 416 is more realistically priced at 15k, still a nice setup with that scope. Dang someone got a great bargain on that 9.3x62.
Man, It looks like the .416 Rigby sold as well.

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!
