Gotta love Texas weather

Tornado sirens were going off all night. Tornado hit about 10 miles SE of us. Man, sure don't feel like Christmas anymore!!!

Picture from Garland Tx, which is where I grew up. I definitely remember the tornado drills in school.... Sounds like eight fatalities at least in the Dallas area.

do those things happen often in texas, i thought kansas or that part of usa got them mostly? no desire to experience one i must confess especially if you have to sit in a cupboard with a cat for hours!!!!!

Yes Mike, Dallas is part of "tornado alley." What made this one weird was the time of year, not the place.

Post from a friend in Garland on their fb page. Gotta appreciate the humor...

New level of of hell, two kids and two adults shoved under the stairs for tornado warning. The little one has gas.

You should have seen the selfie picture of the four of them and a little yapper dog in the closet.

The real laugh was the s@@t eating grin on the face of the boy who was farting. LOLOL

We hit an all time high in Southwest Louisiana. 80 on Christmas day.

Spent a couple of hours last night in a very small closet with three labrador retrievers and one cat while tornado went west of us by a couple of miles. After further evaluation not sure where the safer location would have been in the closet with the cat or in the yard with the tornado.

Roof is still on the house there are a bunch of people here in DFW that can't say the same. Its all part of the adventure known as TEXAS.

Stay warm Gizmo(y)
Hey brother glad your ok and safe. I'm worried about my Dad's place down there. Fortunately he's not there but I hope it faired ok

Actually and unfortunately Texas has the most tornados on an annual basis. It's largely due to the size of the state but we get them up here a lot.

Stay safe down there in Texas. I experienced a couple Tornado's, as a kid growing up on the farm in southern Minnesota. We were not in the direct path, but the wind and damage left a big impression on a young kid. Mother nature is a powerful force.

PB and I are good the dogs are stretched out in the living room in front of the fire place and the cat is supervising the writing of this post. Tornado came through Ellis County and up the east side of Dallas County. The cities of Rowlet and Garland along Lake Ray Hubbard were hit hard. My brother-in-law's older brother's house is missing its roof but all are ok.

When are ya'll planning to open up the ski resort? :E Cold:

Its a trade off. We have tornados occasionally come by the house and you have lions and elephants come by yours. :E Frightened::E Big Grin:

No worries bro, it'll probably be 80 next week lmfao.

Storm was bad.... Tons of damage. Dozen or so dead. This particular one started about 20 miles south, went north. Missed a direct hit by about 5 miles, it was east of us. Started in the city, then headed off into rural areas. These damn December tornadoes are becoming more normal than an anomaly.

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
