I’ve recently come into possession of four custom pre-64 model 70’s (.375’s and .416’s) all built by legendary gun makers like Dale Goens and Clayton Nelson. A couple of these guns need some simple gunsmithing (new recoil pads, sight regulation, trigger work, minor stock refinishing). I’d like to find a gunsmith with experience working on rifles like these, so your recommendations would be appreciated. I’ve looked back in this forum 3 years and haven’t seen anything.

Thanks in advance.

Here's my recommendation,

Steve Bertram

Pre64win.com specializes in exactly those rifles. They have parts for them as well.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
