Have a trip planned to SA in May. It will be my first. Been reading all the great post about peoples times in Africa getting excited.

My list for this, hopefully first trip, is nyala (the animal that I always wanted to go to africa for), cape bushbuck, impala, and blesblok.

The wife will be after blue wildebeest, zebra, and a kudu.

Decided on the 7mm-08 after she develeoped a bad flinch last elk season shooting the 300 wm. Will be sending 156 gr oryx at 2800 fps. We will be keeping all shots under 200 yrds.

I’ve been to sa a couple times and will return this summer. Also taking my 7mm-08 and for more or less the same animals that you have in your list.
Practice from sticks and be prepared to
Stretch your shots beyond 200. Depends a lot on where you go but longer does happen.

Depending on where you are in NC, a Duke loss is something to cheer. As a State alum, it is hard to pull for Duke.
