About the weapon I use:
1. Steyr Mannlicher Luxus cal. 9.3x62 Mauser or .366
An Austrian rifle that allows you to shoot bullets from 153 to 325 grams. Mostly 286 grams. This is quite enough for hunting our largest animals at ranges up to 200-250 meters.

2. Tikka T3x cal. .308 win. A Finnish rifle in a caliber that does not need to be told to those present) is used for hunting at night with a thermal imaging scope for all types of game. I don't like to overload the thermal imaging scope on the big bores (366). I use Hornady Interlock bullets 165 gr. and 200 gr. bullets for subsonic cartridges

3. Remington XCR .223 Rem. Also needs no introduction) A short and very accurate rifle, it will allow you to get everything from a hare to a wild boar.

4. Тikka T1x, .22lr. for training and entertaining shooting. For hunting raccoons, foxes and hares.

5. A special place - H-S Precision Pro-Series 2000 LA .458 Lott, I just bought this weapon and I'm just starting to get to know it. There are few users of this caliber in Russia, and even fewer who communicate about it on the Internet. We also have a problem with the purchase of equipment for the reloading of this caliber and the purchase of components.. But I'm not discouraged, I get something through friends, they make something for me at metalworking plants according to my drawings.
It will be my lucky day when I can see what it can do in Africa!

welcome to AH, something for everyone here, I was planning to go back to Africa in2025 for my second trip but am delaying because of the political climate, I may switch to Russia for 2026 if the war ends and political affairs simmer down there, I watched A documentary on various towns in Russsia and was shocked at the beauty there, especially the different churches built centuries ago, and lake bakail .I pray for your peace. AND THE PICTURE ,is that a lynx as we call them.

Khomas Highland Hunting and Fishing Safaris of Namibia, welcomes you to the greatest forum on earth.

I have been to Siberia, as a crew member on a ship, during the summer of 2018.
My job was bear guard, for the wildlife photography crew.
We dropped anchor in many places, sometimes far from civilization and sometimes at one or another port city or village.

There was a restaurant in the port city of Anadyr that I really enjoyed.
Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of it right now.
I looked through my photos, hoping to find the name.
However, there was nothing showing that restaurant name.
Anyway, the pizza was very good and the locally brewed beer was also very good.

Myself and some other crew members, guided by one of our ship’s interpreters, walked about for a few hours.
The residents of Anadyr that I encountered were warm and friendly toward us foreigners.
I live in Alaska and Siberia strongly reminded me of my home.
The pictures you have posted are beautiful.

Welcome to the forum, I hunted many times in Russia, I really love it. All the years I go to hunt there, this year I'm going to hunt bears in April and capercaille. When I watched your pictures came back to my memory beautil memories. I hope you will be able to hunt in Africa, is totally different hunt. If you like predators, African predators are not like yours, lion usually they are tame, I recommend you go for the leopard , also I like the hyenas hunt.
